The children had a fun filled term to end the school year. Have a look at what we got up to!

On Friday June 8th, First Class went on a School Tour to Fort Lucan Adventure Centre. The children enjoyed a fantastic day outdoors in the sunshine. They played in the large playground, did rounds of Crazy Golf, went Go-Karting and Trampolining. Some boys and girls were brave enough to go on the Water Slides! The children kept their energy levels up and thirst at bay with delicious ice-creams. The day was enjoyed by all!

The children created brilliant, vibrant Artwork based on the topics of “Spring” and “Under The Sea”. The class celebrated Father’s Day by making special cards for their Dads.

The children did a lot of learning and exploration on many new topics in their final term of First Class. A Maths topic that was particularly enjoyed by all was exploring “Capacity”. The children learned through investigation and play.

Active Week took place on the second last week of school. The children enjoyed a Sports Day on Monday. On Tuesday, they played Dodgeball with Mr. Molloy’s class and Mrs. Dunlea’s Class. The class played tennis on Wednesday on the local tennis courts. On Thursday, the children took part in Novelty Races. The school celebrated the end of Active Week on Friday by “Hitting the Block” in memory of Ms. Casey. First Class happily jogged 2.5km, met Ms. Casey’s husband and family and cheered on the other classes as they completed the 5km run.
