New Parents
Junior Infants
The parents of Junior Infants are invited to the school in June to meet their child’s new teacher. Before starting school in September, your child should be able to:
- Put on/ take off coat
- Go to the toilet unaided
- Wash and dry hands
- Open and close lunch box/ school bag
Junior Infants need the following:
- A non-spill drink bottle
- Preferably shoes they can manage (eg. Velcro closing)
- All clothes labelled
- No trolley bags
Junior Infants go home at 12pm for the first two weeks in September.
Information Meetings
An information meeting for all parents/guardians of new pupils is held in early September. This meeting provides a forum for new parents to learn about the school and to ask questions.
Parent/ Teacher Meetings
Parent/ Teacher meetings are held once a year, usually towards the end of November. It is very important that all parents/ guardians attend these meetings. All other meetings are by appointment only.
Information pack
A detailed information pack is sent to all new parents when the child is enrolled.
