Swimming
The children go swimming during school hours in the new pool in Naas as part of the P.E. programme. Classes from 1st to 4th attend and, depending on numbers, it may be possible to include 5th.
Swimming is organised by the PTA and ,this year, the cost is €50 for 6 lessons or €8.50 per lesson. Sessions must be paid in for, in full, as pool hire, instructors and transport must be paid for in advance.
The children are taught by experienced swimming instructors who work through a structured programme.
All children must attend the swimming lessons, as this is now part of the P.E. programme in the revised curriculum.
The children in the Assisted Learning Classes go swimming on Fridays.
