Builders at work

2/12/2014

We built the dwarfs' cottage in our activity centre. We worked really hard and then acted out the story using our masks.

We looked in the mirror and pretended to ask the queen who was the fairest of us all. We had great laughs looking at our faces especially our teeth.

Rice Krispie buns

18/9/2014

Today (Thursday, 18th Sep.) we made rice krispie buns. First, we broke the chocolate into small squares and placed them in a bowl. We then melted the chocolate in the microwave for 1 minute. Next, we poured rice krispies into the melted chocolate and mixed them together. Lastly, we spooned them into bun cases.

When they set we ate them. They were delicious!

The Hare and the Tortoise

18/9/2014

Recently, we read The Hare and the Tortoise. We really enjoyed listening to the story however, we had the most fun when we acted in role of the hare and the tortoise. Why don't we retell the story and you can look at some of the pictures.

We sponge painted the hare and the tortoise. Have a look...

We sequenced the story

Our work is displayed on Our Story Corner

We made cookies! Why don't you try our recipe?! We added a special ingredient - chocolate m&m's.

Projects on Prosperous

We have just finished our projects on Prosperous and have learnt a lot.
Our teacher has asked us to type on this website some facts about Prosperous.

I learned that Robert Brooke built Prosperous. He was from Cavan. He wanted to build a cotton industry. He was a poor business man and the cotton industry failed.

I learned that  he  built many buildings. He built  Downings house, the post office and the  buildings near it.

I learned that he died in 1811 in St,Helena. He named Prosperous Bay.

I learned about the 1798 rebellion, It started in Prosperous and was all over Ilan
