Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are in the process of setting up Google Classroom for this year and many children have already checked that they have their password, can log in successfully and have joined their class. We will be using Google Classroom in school, for homework and also during any periods of remote learning that may arise. Please read through this and check that you have completed all of the steps.
We need to make sure that you and your child can login to Google Classroom using their school Google account ending in @prosperousns.ie.
You will be using the same login details for your child as you used before the Summer. Parents of Junior Infants should click here for separate instructions.
Your child may have changed their password in school in the last week so make sure to check their homework diaries also.
If you have forgotten your child’s login details please email [email protected] including your child’s name, class and teacher.
Each child (sibling) has their own separate login and password for Google Classroom.
Please CHECK that you can access Google Classroom and login with each child’s @prosperousns.ie account by visiting
classroom.google.com on any device

Using the Google Classroom App on your tablet/phone - available for Apple and Android
You should see your child's new Class and Teacher after logging in to Google Classroom. Please SELECT the class to join it.
Please email [email protected] if you don't see a class and we can send you the joining code. Please include your child's name, class and teacher.
PLEASE WRITE YOUR CHILD'S USERNAME AND PASSWORD INTO THEIR HOMEWORK DIARY. THEY WILL NEED IT TO USE DEVICES IN SCHOOL. (not necessary for Infant classes)
Note:
School Google usernames are usually in the format [email protected]
e.g. John Smith - [email protected]
If you are unsure of your child’s username, click their avatar in the top right of Google Classroom.
