Another fantastic Science Week in Scoil an Linbh Iosa. The children from 4th-6th took part in the Intel Mini Scientist competition and the standard of projects was outstanding. Congratulations to all involved.
All our classes engaged in lots of science experiments throughout the week. A sample are shown below!
- First Class made rockets and lava lamps for science week. There was a lot of excitement as they explored how both worked.
- Junior infants ‘Colour mixing skittles experiment’!
- Homemade playdoh with 4th class! (4th class made it & brought it with them for JI to play with!) they were super at telling us the ingredients & steps involved & loved sharing it with JI 😊
- 4th Class making electrical circuits.
- Senior Infants STEM challenge: Build a house from marshmallows and Spaghetti!
- 2nd Class STEM challenge: Build a birds nest from recyclable materials.
- Junior Infants: The children were given ideas and shown pictures of things they could 'engineer' before they created their own objects.
