Early on Saturday the 12th of January, the community of Prosperous and Scoil an Linbh Íosa along with Kathy's family and friends arrived to Naas racecourse to complete the Parkrun in her memory. Enthused school children and their parents took to the start line to give their all to remember an inspiring teacher.
A huge number turned out for this Parkrun which began at 9.30 am. Two and a half laps of the racecourse later and everyone had completed a 5k course. It was a wonderful sight to see the colour yellow spread across the racecourse as you travelled along the route - ensuring Kathy was on the mind of all her knew her there today.
A huge thank you to everyone who took part in this wonderfully organised event. Both Kathy's family and the staff of Scoil an Linbh Íosa are extremely grateful for your support as her first anniversary approaches.
