Kildare Education Centre will host a workshop which will demonstrate to parents how to help their children most effectively with their maths homework.

This is a short course on how to help your child with their maths homework.
Reduce the "That's not how teacher does it!" effect with tips on making homework more successful for your child and less stressful for you.

The faculty at Scoil an Linbh Íosa have come to realise that contact details for all children are not currently up to date. 

We would ask if parents could provide phone numbers which are currently active and in use for both parents. Therefore, should there be a need to ring a parent regarding their child, we will be able to contact you promptly. 

We would also ask if you could provide an emergency contact. In the case where both numbers provided are uncontactable, we will be able to contact the emergency number. 

We believe this to be extremely important for the staff, parents and children and we would encourage you to provide these details as soon as possible. 

Scoil an Linbh Íosa are happy to announce that enrolment forms for new students who wish to attend our school for the upcoming new school year ('17/'18) are now available. 

These forms can be downloaded on this website from the 'New Parents' tab under the 'Parents' section or rather you can be redirected to the forms by clicking here. 

Paper copies of these forms are also available from the administration office in the school. 

We would ask all parents to hand these completed forms back to the administration office on or prior to the 10th of February to facilitate the prompt processing of all forms.

​Swimmer Ellen Keane visited the children and staff of Scoil an Linbh Íosa on Monday. She won her first Paralympic medal in September 2016, claiming bronze in the SB8 100m breaststroke in Rio.

The 21-year-old from Clontarf, Dublin answered questions as her medal was passed around for the children to admire. She told us of her typical day and of how proud she was of her achievements. She delighted some of the older listeners relaying her story of how she out swam rugby player Rob Kearney in a pool challenge!

After being asked by one of the children how she fulfills tasks such as tying her shoe laces, Ellen demonstrated how simple it is despite some people's preconceptions, which fascinated some of our younger children!

She truly is an inspiration and proof that hard work and determination can really pay off. Thanks for coming to visit us, Ellen!
