The children of sixth class have been busy taking on the role of the teacher over the previous number of weeks. Each student in sixth have been paired up with a Junior Infant for a specific purpose. The children spend over half an hour each week reading to their budding partners. This is a highly anticipated event each week with huge benefits for both the sixth and junior infant pupils. The sixth class pupils have the ability to practice their reading skills while the junior infants are exposed to more literature and they enjoy spending time with their new friends from the upper end of the school. Below are some pictures of the initiative taking place. Comments are closed.
