We went to McCarthy's for hot chocolate and the highlight of the month was organising a Tea Party for all of our fabulous parents! It was a super day and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The children worked so hard and prepared all the food, cakes and treats for the party. We had great fun playing Christmas games! We made delicious smoothies. And finally, we enjoyed some "down time" after a very busy month! We were joined by the fabulous Emma - Jane Leeson, author of the Johnny Magory books today. She read her books and introduced us to all her characters. Her stories are all based on own childhood experiences and lots of local sites and wildlife. They really enjoyed listening to her stories, jumping like frogs and performing a little jig while she played the tin whistle. A great morning! Thank you Emma - Jane and Amanda Delaney for organising the special treat for us November has flown by! This month we planted wild flowers and vegetables with Gerry in our new garden. We also baked fairy cakes, made pizza and toasted sandwiches. We wrote party invitations and posted them at the post office. Our art this month was the Mona Lisa and a winter scene using paints and pastels. Looking forward to December already! October has been another busy month in Ms. Lavin's class. We cooked pasta and made our own signature sauce. We practised our laundry skills by hanging, sorting and folding all the laundry. We baked and decorated cupcakes and played traditional Halloween games! We also have continued with our great art and yoga. Lots of hard work going on! We have been very busy this month getting to know each other and having fun. We have played, done some fabulous art, made ourselves some lovely food, practised yoga and worked really hard! We are really excited in Ms. Byrne's Class to be back to school. Check in regularly for updates on our school days!
This is Ms. Lavin's Class 2019-2020. We are full of enthusiasm and excitement for the year ahead. Come and check out our blog regularly to see what we get up to!
We had our school tour to Causey Farm this year and what fun we had bog jumping and getting really dirty! We also had some animal visitors to our class. Chicks visited our class and got the chance to pet them! |
