Fifth class have been working hard on their Australia projects. They look great!! The children worked well in teams and will be presenting their projects in class this week! Well done all! To celebrate maths week in school we brought our shared reading partners from Ms. Comerfords senior infants outside to complete a maths trail! We had lots of fun and the senior infants really impressed us with their counting skills! Hopefully we taught them a thing or two! We have had a busy start to the year learning about long division, the digestive system and the Celts among other things! We have made animations and written explanation texts. We have also started our book club meetings. We have played games and we have done some art too. We look forward to keeping you updated on events as the year progresses.
We’ve been busy working on colour and tone the past two weeks in art. You can see our colour wheels on our window which we created using just the primary colours. We then chose one colour and made a tonal scale and used different tones to create a “tonal monster”. Just in time to have them ready to decorate the halls for Halloween!! |
