Autism Spectrum Disorder-Friendly Sensory Story Time at Leixlip Library (limited to 10 places)
Join Sharon Curran (MSEN, BA Mont Ed, Dip Hort) at Leixlip Library for a fun, interactive, sensory story time, tailored specially to meet the needs of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, and incorporating assistive technology and toys from the library's TTT collection.
There will also be a quiet, welcoming, ASD-friendly opportunity to use the library, while closed to the general public, for borrowing etc

Helping Children to talk about difficult topics

Leixlip Library: Thursday 1st February 7 pm
This talk is based on Rosaleens book - Finding the Words: Talking Children through the Tough Times and will focus on how parents or carers can reflect on and find ways to help their children talk about difficult experiences. She will talk about the importance of self-awareness and how we need to mind ourselves so that we can better support our children in such conversations.
