We hope you all enjoy the Christmas holidays and have a happy and healthy 2015!
Please, have a look at our photographs!
Both Ms. Gaire's and Mrs. Sword's 4th classes were very busy preparing for Christmas. We learned lovely Christmas songs and poems, learned how to play Christmas songs on the tin-whistle, made creative art pieces and paid an important visit to Santa in Santa's Grotto. Also, we were hard at work preparing for our concert "Chris the Christmas Tree." We made many props, painted a forest backdrop, decided on costumes and spent time learning lines, dance routines and songs. We really enjoyed preparing for our concert. Our hard work paid off as the audience really enjoyed our show. We hope you all enjoy the Christmas holidays and have a happy and healthy 2015! Please, have a look at our photographs! Below are our paintings of our favourite reindeer- Rudolph. We had a very special visitor to our school- SANTA! Santa heard that we were all behaving well for our teachers this year so he gave us all a lollipop as a reward. Santa was very funny and we sang a Christmas song with him. Below you will see a selection of photographs taken on the night of our Christmas concert.
Did you know that Ms. Gaire's 4th class are brilliant Scientists? Under Ms. Mahoney's guidance, the class participated in a Science Fair. The children formed groups and chose a theme to base their projects on. The children made posters and made booklets of information, drawings, diagrams and surveys. Each group presented their project to judges, teachers and children, and carried out clever experiments for all to see. Here are some pictures of the children with their wonderful projects: Congratulations to the winning group: Aaron Carmody, Deejay Farrell and Tristan McKeon who based their project on "Newton's Laws of Motion."
