Ms Dunne’s 4th class did a fantastic job caring for their caterpillars over the past 6 weeks. When they arrived the class had to transfer their caterpillar (larva) into an individual vial with food, where they would spent the next few weeks eating as much as they could before turning into a chrysalis (pupa). The class they transfer their pupa into a net where the butterflies could emerge safely. What a wonderful experience-watching the process of metamorphosis in real life!
