In March, our Aistear play theme was 'The Garden Centre'. We planted fressia bulbs, cress and morning glory seeds. Our cress and morning glory seeds grew really well and our fressia bulbs will hopefully flower this summer. We also learned about what plants need to grow, the life cycle of a plant and the parts of a plant. Here are just a few pictures of our work.

We took a walk around the village to look for signs that Spring had arrived. We found bulbs, buds, flowers growing, nicer weather and birds singing. Have a listen to us singing 'Lá 'le Pádraig'. We learned this song just before St. Patrick's day.
We had great fun celebrating Easter in school. We made cards and clay nests filled with chicks and eggs. We enjoyed our egg hunt in the courtyard and our treats left by the Easter bunny. We are preparing for Easter. We learned a poem called "The Easter Bunny''. Please listen to our audio recording. We made Easter Bunny masks and colourful Easter eggs. Happy Easter everyone!
