We've had a really busy, fun and exciting first term with our new teacher Ms. Comerford. We've been learning lots of new songs a poems, doing lots of reading with our shared reading partners and we've also been working very hard in Aistear. Below are some photos of us working on our recent Aistear topics: To end our busy term we went on a witch and wizard walk. We dressed up as spooky creatures, witches & wizards and our fifth & sixth class reading partners accompanied us on our walk. We really enjoyed waving to everyone on our journey around the village. Happy Halloween from room 4. We had such a busy term. Have a look at our photos to see some of our activities. In aistear, we learned about construction and houses. We were very lucky to have a hurling coach in to teach us lots of new skills in Hurling. Our skills have really improved over the course of the training. To celebrate Maths Week, we took to the grounds of the school with our fifth class partners and completed a maths trail. It was great fun learning maths in a different environment. Finally, for Halloween, we all dressed up and walked the block. After lunch, we enjoyed some barm brack and old fashioned Halloween games. We had great fun together. |
