Check out the pictures below of our World Book Day fun! Second class have been learning about gratitude and the importance of filling other peoples buckets. Being a bucket filler means showing love and kindness to those around you. The children sent letters home to their families letting them know how grateful they are for everything that they do for them each day! We learned that by being a bucket filler it actually fills up our own buckets too! Well done Second Class! We were busy yesterday as the first of February rolled in and so too did a new season - Spring. But, there is even something more special about the 1st of February and that is St. Brigid's Day! We created our very own St. Brigid's crosses and went to mass in the morning where our crosses were blessed. Check out the picture below!
Here we are planting crocuses, bluebells and snowdrops with Gerry in the garden. Ms Cox’s second class had lots of fun planting seeds with Gerry. Busy busy with mangahigh for the global maths week challenge. Ms. Lavin's 2nd class have been busy in maths today. We have been doing lots of hands on activities practising our place value! Summertime in school means lots of time for outdoor fun and of course, the one day we had all been waiting for- our first communion. June is always one of favourite months in school and active week is always the highlight. He had a great time all week. Monday was run day funday- we walked the block and ran laps of the school- we definitely got our steps in that day. On Tuesday we had an all day sports day! Wednesday we had circuits in the hall as well as watching the teachers beat the students in the annual races. On Thursday we were so lucky to have Suzanne from the tennis club coach us in the tennis courts. On Friday, we had a whole school Zumba lesson and watched some more students vs teacher action in soccer and basketball. |
