Ms. Casey's first and second class had great fun creating and playing their own musical instruments this week.

We wanted to explore ways to make sounds using manufactured or homemade instruments. In keeping with our Green Schools initiative, the instruments were made largely from recyclable materials. Some of us made conventional instruments and others created their own original piece.

We played to several different songs and used our instruments to identify and show the rhythm and beat in accompanying songs.

From string to percussion, our homemade orchestra was music to our ears and was certainly hard to beat!
