In October, we learned about different types of houses and what type each one of us lives in through identifying and labeling activities on the IWB and individually on paper. We learned about the family, using oil pastels to draw a picture, and explored what goes on in the home on day-to-day basis. Our role-play and small world areas were based on this. We looked at what objects and furniture go in each room, partaking in group work to complete a cut and stick activity from the Argos catalog. We developed our spatial awareness skills by using tangrams (2D shapes) to construct various houses. We read A New Home for a Pirate and responded by completing a sentence sorting activity. Take a look at some pics! Comments are closed.
