We had great fun learning all about the Construction Site. We donned high vis vests and hard hats and pretended to be builders in the role-play area. Then we wrote about this experience, explaining what tools and machinery we would use. We read Goodnight, Goodnight Construction Site and completed a word hunt activity around the room on the text. We learned about the various tools builders use, completed a cutting and sticking activity and then manipulated them with playdough. Fun was had using lego and wooden blocks to create our own constructions. After learning about famous buildings from around the world, we responded by painting them and constructing them in junk art.
