We had great fun taking part in Active week. We really enjoyed activities such as senior sports day, hit the block and the danceathon. Check out some pictures of us below! Well what a week it was! We had such fun running the block with the other classes, visiting the tennis courts, participating in novelty races, having senior sports day and dancing our hearts out at the danceathon. We're tired even saying the huge list of activities we had! What fun! Have a look at the pictures below: We had such a wonderful time at Causey Farm for our school tour this year. We had so many different activities that kept us entertained all day. We visited and petted all the different animals, we made huge bubbles with lots of different equipment and our favourite of the day was bog jumping. We got really dirty but it was totally worth it. A big thank you to Ms. Lowe, Ms. Kavanagh and Ms. McNamara who organised our tour! Science Workshop. On Monday 27th May, Ms. Lowe's class were lucky to participate in a Science workshop. Two students (1 from St. Farnan's and 1 from Pipers Hill) along with Dr. Gareth Burns from Maynooth University each worked with a group. The students were part of the Rising Teachers Rising Leaders leadership programme. At the end of the workshop each group had conducted 3 exciting experiments- The Leakproof Bag, Custard:A Liquid or a Solid? and The Erupting Volcano. We really enjoyed the workshop and realised that "science is actually fun!" Ms. Lowe's third class were very busy recently studying the stone age. We created our own projects in our scrapbooks which we then presented to our classes. We also did some stone age painting on the walls outside our classroom. This was a collaborative exercise and was great fun! Ms. Mcnamara's 3rd class had great fun today polishing off their bright and colourful paper mache hot air balloons. |
