FÉILTE, the Festival of Education in Learning and Teaching Excellence, is a celebration of innovation in teaching. The theme of this year’s event is “Talking about teaching: Tearing down the walls".
FÉILTE 2014 will feature a mix of over 50 showcases and workshops spanning projects from across the education sector, demonstrating the innovation happening in teaching and learning now.
The day will commence with a keynote address by broadcaster Ryan Tubridy, followed by three panel discussions chaired by Matt Cooper. One of the panels will focus on well-being and contributors will be Bressie, Eoghan McDermott, Conor Cusack, Clare Hayes (AWARE) and AnnMarie Ireland (teacher and facilitator withwww.chilloutireland.ie »). This topic was a highlight of last year’s event and the panel will build on that conversation.
The two other panels will focus on the themes of the needs of newly qualified teachers and those of experienced teachers. The day will start and end with performances by the National Children's Choir and the Teachers' Musical Society. You can view the full programme here » .
