Both the boys and girls basketball teams entertained Castledermot and Caragh in friendly matches on Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd October at home. These matches proved crucial in preparing the players for upcoming league matches after the midterm.
Prosperous boys displayed impressive skill in two fast paced matches, beating Castledermot 27 - 14 and Caragh 32 - 18. Hopefully they can further improve their skills for what promises to be a tough league.
The girls showed great promise. They lost to Castledermot 30 - 22 but upped their game for the following match, being narrowly defeated by Caragh, 14 - 12. A sign of a promising team is one that can learn from their mistakes and improve for the next match.
