The children thoroughly enjoyed their day and the long walk to and from the centre ensured that everyone will sleep well tonight!
The sixth class boys and girls were given the great opportunity to visit the Focolare Centre in Prosperous for their confirmation retreat. This retreat was an essential step in preparing the children for the sacrament of Confirmation. The children's visit began with a briefing of the day ahead and what activities they would partake in. The children then split into their groupings and worked in workshops talking about 'Saints', 'God is Love' and 'Cube is love'. The children were then treated to a break with some orange and biscuits, to everyone's delight. The children then finished off this workshops ensuring everyone for the opportunity to work with various leaders. The children had lunch, some lovely homemade soup and played soccer out in the snowy grounds of the Focolare. The children then returned inside to prepare for mass. The children prepared two songs, prayers of the faithful and a short drama of the first reading. The children thoroughly enjoyed their day and the long walk to and from the centre ensured that everyone will sleep well tonight! Comments are closed.
