This year our school tour brought us to Co. Wicklow and to the very scenic area on Blessington lake. We had our school tour in Avon Rí adventure centre, and by all accounts it was a great adventure. Once we arrived we were put straight to work and formed into various groups. We began our various activities before having our lunch break. We did lots of enjoyable tasks like rope climbing, orienteering, archery, and team building exercises. After lunch some of us were lucky enough to try out the zip wire before we made our way to the changing rooms to get ready for our water activities. Wet suits at the go, we headed for the lake where we swam, kayaked and rowed our way around the lake. We had a truly wonderful day and the quiet bus on the way home was a sure sign of the energy that was used!
