On Monday 4th March, 3rd class started the day with an author visit. From the offset, self published author Marguerite Tonery grasped the children's attention as she unfolded her series of books through her captivating storytelling. Marguerite enlisted the help of some audience members to act out some of the story. There are four books so far in the Kapheus series which are fantasy adventure stories set in the landscape of the Wild Atlantic Way. Marguerite gave the children a taste of each book but broke off at a pinnacle point leaving the children wanting more. All children received a bookmark and co-stars also got some beautiful cards. The bookmarks and cards all show the magical illustrations by David Wenzel who also illustrated The Hobbit.
