Term 1 in Ms. O' Mahoney's Junior Infants

We've been super busy in Junior infants and our first term just flew by. 

We performed some songs as Gaeilge for Lá Gaeilge. We love to sing as Gaeilge! Ask us to name the parts of the body for you!

We built towers using 3D shapes. We learned the names of 4 3D shapes: cylinder, sphere, cube and cuboid. We had a lot of fun!

​In October the children were learning about "The School" in Aistear. We pretended to play teacher and students in role-play, we made food for lunch boxes using playdough, we painted and we made schools out of blocks!

The children's favourite Aistear topic so far has been 'Halloween'. They played in the Witch's Cove making potions and casting spells, they made witches in arts and crafts, they made their own creations in junk art, they played with a haunted house in small world and they made broomsticks and cauldrons in playdough.
