A brand new year brings new children to our school and we welcome lots of new boys and girls to Junior Infants. The children in Ms. Mahoney's Junior Infants have really enjoyed their first month in primary school. Here they are saying a big hello to all their visitors: We have particularly loved learning a new language - Gaeilge. We've been talking lots in Irish and have even been learning songs. Here is our version of 'Rolaí Polaí' The children absolutely Aistear. In October we have been learning all about 'The School'. The children have been playing in the role play area pretending to be teachers, students, secretaries and the principal. They found pens, markers, rubbers and other classroom equipment in the sand box. They enjoyed painting autumn trees with cotton buds. They built schools, chairs, tables and classrooms with blocks and they designed school bags and lunch boxes too. Comments are closed.
