#ThrowbackThursday - Mr. Geaney's

29/6/2017

As our school year draws to a close, it seems necessary to have a look back at all we have accomplished and all we have participated in. From our Christmas concert, to brush dancing in front of the school, to sports day, each day has been an amazing adventure that we have all enjoyed.

Each child in my class has undertaken all tasks with enthusiasm. Each pupil has been an an absolute pleasure to teach and i thank you all for doing so well. Have a brilliant summer everyone.

Mr. Geaney.

Our School Tour '17

15/6/2017

Today, the children of both fourth and fifth class had their school tour. They went to Rathbeggan Lakes, in Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath. From the moment we got on the bus, everyone's excitement took over and we knew we had an excellent day in store. The children were able to complete a wide range of activities. They completed a heritage walk which focused on the Stone Age. The children were able to visit Baileys & Moates as well as Crannógs which brought what we have learnt in History to real life. The children were also given the opportunity to go on the paddles boats on the lakes and try and keep their balance in the water rollers. After lunch we visited the playground, pet farm and an array of bouncy castles. Its safe to say we all really enjoyed our day!

Our Guitar Concert

8/6/2017

For the past eight weeks all the children of fifth class have been working extremely hard, under the guidance of Don, at learning to play the guitar. They have learned how to play a number of key chords while singing along at the same time. At the end of the eight weeks, the children had the opportunity to perform for their parents, teachers and other classes in the school. They really enjoyed their performance as did all the audience. Have a look at the video below for some of the brilliant playing, singing and dancing.
