Tangrams

7/10/2015

This morning during maths, we got to use tangrams to practise our tessellation. We had to make a square using 7 shapes, which isn't as easy as it sounds. Some of us got really close but only a few pairs were able to solve it!
Here are some games that are useful for practising tessellating shapes (making shapes fit together).

Testing for Starch

2/10/2015

Today we conducted an experiment to see what foods contained starch. We used iodine to test if starch was present in some foods that we eat everyday. We learnt that iodine turns a blue/black colour where starch is present.
