This morning during maths, we got to use tangrams to practise our tessellation. We had to make a square using 7 shapes, which isn't as easy as it sounds. Some of us got really close but only a few pairs were able to solve it! Here are some games that are useful for practising tessellating shapes (making shapes fit together).

We used iodine to test if starch was present in some foods that we eat everyday. We learnt that iodine turns a blue/black colour where starch is present.
We are almost finished our unit on long division. This is how we do it in school. We do our estimation at the side of our workings like this. This video might be helpful for revising long division at home. We are starting a unit of work on Bia in Irish. This is a great one to practise at home because so much of family life is orientated around food (well at least that's how it is in my house!)
